Closing of the Bones Ceremony
The postpartum time is such a sacred time. After birth a women is broken open.
A women’s physical body has opened and her emotions are open and vulnerable. She is bleeding, exhausted and feeding her newborn. She has just gone through the most transformational journey of her life and is now onto the next road of her journey as a mother.
The closing of the bone ceremony is a beautiful way to honor this time in motherhood. To nurture the mother in this journey and to keep her feeling safe and held in this space.
This ceremony physically brings the bones back into place, helps the uterus shrink down and increases blood flow into the body by wrapping the body in 5 places with a rebozo. Emotionally it creates safety, calm and relaxation.
This is always a great way to support someone who has lost a baby
